Plastics pollutions is an equity issue.
It is often less expensive to produce items with plastic than their non-plastic equivalents. As a result, low-income households are often at increased risk of exposure to micro- and nanoplastic particles on a daily basis. PlastX uses its platform to collaborate with businesses and organizations to improve access to plastic-reduction services within the home with the goal of creating healthier living spaces.
We do this by hosting community “trade-in” events, where people can bring in their household items made with plastic and trade them in for non-plastic versions of those items free of charge.
